Coverage varies — buy a little extra

Material quantities are planning estimates: coverage varies by product (bag size, compaction, waste, slope and how tightly you pack). Buy about 5–10% extra and confirm the coverage printed on the product before you order.

Tree work is dangerous

Removing trees or clearing land is dangerous work. Large trees or trees near buildings, power lines or people can cause serious injury and property damage. Hire a licensed, insured arborist — the tree tools are for budgeting only.

Retaining walls & local code

Retaining walls taller than about 3–4 ft (or holding a surcharge or slope) usually need an engineer's design and a permit. Confirm height limits, drainage and permit rules with your local building department. Nothing here is landscape-engineering or architecture design, a horticultural prescription or a code-compliance certificate.
