Paver & retaining-wall block coverage
Paver count comes from the face area of one paver: pavers per square foot = 1 ÷ face area, plus waste. Retaining-wall blocks come from the wall face area ÷ the block face. The values below are labeled planning typicals — confirm the size on the product. Use them in the pavers and retaining-wall block tools.
| Paver size | Face area | Pavers per 100 sq ft (+5% waste) |
|---|---|---|
| 4 × 8 in | 0.222 sq ft | 473 pavers |
| 6 × 6 in | 0.250 sq ft | 420 pavers |
| 6 × 9 in | 0.375 sq ft | 280 pavers |
| 12 × 12 in | 1.000 sq ft | 105 pavers |
Pavers per sq ft = 1 ÷ face area, plus waste. A common retaining-wall block face is about 0.50 sq ft, so a wall face takes ~2 blocks per sq ft. Labeled planning typicals — confirm the size on the product.
